President Rodrigo Duterte met Peter Lim

President Rodrigo Duterte met Peter Lim, the Cebuano-Chinese businessman who was earlier named by the president himself as one of the top drug lords in the country, along with Peter Co and Herbert Colangco. Lim was reportedly identified as the alleged Visayan member of the drug triad.

Watch their conversation on the video below. “I will advise you strongly na mag-submit ka sa investigation. We want to help you… Help us clear you,” President Duterte told Peter Lim in the video released by RTV Malacañang this Saturday morning.

The said meeting was held at the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Region XI office in Davao City this Friday night (July 15.). “I could clear up everything because my family is really in deep problem now in Cebu…In any way I will help, in all my ways I can.” Lim replied, who earlier denied as the one identified by President Duterte.

Nevertheless, the president reminded him that he was the same Peter Lim who was investigated by Congress back in 2006 regarding illegal drugs. “He goes in and out of the Philippines. If he has friends here, please tell him: The moment he lands in NAIA, he will die. The moment he steps out of the plane, he will die.” President Duterte said when he presented an alleged chart of drug lords in the country last week, referring to Peter Lim (alias Jaguar), who was reportedly out of the country that time.

Based on the latest records of Bureau of Immigration (BI), there are over than 4,000 individuals registered under the name, Peter Lim. Nevetheless, this Cebuano-Chinese businessman (who also owns Hilton Heavy Equipment) is the same Peter Lim who was identified by Cebu City Mayor Tomas Osmeña as having legtimate businesses in the city.

Earlier, Dioscoro Fuentes, Peter Lim’s lawyer, said his client had personally met Duterte twice. The first one was last June 8, at a party at the Adnama Building in Mandaue City. The second one was last June 25, at the wedding of Bea Borja, the daughter of Adnama Mining Resources president, Fernando “Ding” Borja. Allegedly, both Duterte and Lim were among the principal sponsors of of the newlyweds.
